Coppell Youth Football Divisions

Flag Division
Player ages 5 and 6 years on or before June 1.

Instructional Bantam Division
Player age 7 years on or before June 1.

Bantam Division
Players age 8 years on or before June 1.

Super Bantam
Players age 9 years on or before June 1.

Junior Division
Players age 10 years on or before June 1.

Senior Division
Player ages 11 and 12 years on or before June 1 and in the 6th or 7th grade, as long as there is not a middle school program provided.

*Six (6) year old players have the option of playing Flag or Instructional Bantam (tackle).

** Flag, Instructional Bantam, Bantam, and Super Bantam have certain new provisions to promote safety. (see below)

Section 8: Covered Center
A. It is illegal to line up a player on the line of scrimmage over the center in the Flag, Instructional Bantam, Bantam, and Super Bantam divisions. Lining up in the “A” gap, in between the center and guard is allowed. All other divisions can line a man up over center on the line of scrimmage. The penalty for having a player lined up over the center at the snap of the ball is ten (10) yards and an automatic first down.

Section 9: Blitzing
A. Blitzing linebackers or overloading any single gap is not allowed in the Flag or Instructional Bantam league. The penalty for this infraction is 10 yards and an automatic first down.
