At Coppell Youth Football Association, the safety of your kids is our #1 priority
That's why this year we are excited to announce our plan to purchase
Guardian Caps for use by all tackle age groups in the fall (3rd -6th).

These soft shell helmet coverings will be mandatory for all players during practice, and each player will have the option to wear them in games to help reduce their risk of head injury. They have been mandated by the NFL and CFL, and are worn by 275+ colleges (including all 14 SEC schools), 3000+ high schools and 750+ youth programs nationwide.
In order for us to make this happen, we need help from the Coppell Community! To reach our goal of $6,500 by July 1st, we are asking for your help in the form of donations, sponsorships, and volunteering at city events to promote the fundraiser. This is just another step we are taking to ensure the safety of our players, now and in the future!
Roger Goodell, NFL Commissioner: βThe Guardian Cap has been a very important change for us as itβs shown to reduce impact. It has been very effective and reduced concussions by 52%.β
Brian Kelly, Head Football Coach at the Louisiana State University: "The data, in terms of incidents of head injury in practice and in preseason, was just so compelling that we included them on all of our linemen, linebackers, tight ends and running backs, and proved to be a very effective tool for us in our practicing.β
